What is a Mantaray? A Mantaray is a device for back squat exercises which are performed correctly by using a medium to narrow stance and placing the bar high on your trapezius muscles. To increase flexibility and balance, elevate your heels on a one-inch board, plate or mat. Proper back squats are performed by lowering your body slowly, keeping your torso erect by using your lower back, (avoid leaning forward) and then push through with your legs. It is important to always maintain control and to avoid 'bouncing' (which often causing knee damage). A Mantaray fits all standard bars, but does not work on Soloflex machines.
*Mantaray is rated as one of the top best buys for bodybuilders! For maximum quadricep development, the back squat is unquestionably, the most effective builder of all.
Deep squatting is highly recommended by many top coaches, especially strength coach Charles Poliquin who recommends Squat down and don't come back up until you leave a mark on the floor. Although the back squat is one of the most effective exercise, many people cannot proper do this exercise because of the complaint of pain or pinching from the weight of the bar across the shoulders. The squat excuse eliminator is a new patented load-distribution device called the Manta-Ray which has been specially developed for back squats.
Mantaray for back squats
The Manta-Ray alleviates the pain from the bar which rests against the trapezius muscles to allow for the full potential gains from the squat exercise. It is molded from virtually indestructible lightweight polyurethane polymer which snaps on to all sizes of bars, and won't slip. One size fits all.
The Manta-Ray can improve your back squatting: Your arms no longer have to support as much of the load trying to keep the bar from rolling off your back.
The PM-842 fits 7' Olympic size bar and can be used as a 2 piece system either as a bench or an independent squat rack. The bench includes handle and wheels for ease of mobility, removable leg developer and preacher curl pad, a fully adjustable back rest and seat height. The squat rack includes 2 Olympic plate holders, adjustable oversize bar and safety catches, and storage posts for bench accessories. The maximum user weight is 300 lb. and maximum crutch support is 300 lb.
